'The Prophet'

Donald Underwood Thompson - a born showman - is known for his bluesy, soulful singing and lively stage shows. Over the years, he's performed in many settings - ranging from festivals and college campuses to television studios. He has shared venues with, among others, four-time Grammy winner, David Holt, The Dillards (the band known as the Darlings on the Andy Griffith Show), and North Carolina's preeminent  folk-fusion band, Molasses Creek. Donald is also a songwriter and his Chicago-style blues number "Wishie Washie Woman" has received airplay on National Public Radio (NPR) stations.

Chris "Jenx" Jenkins provides the hot guitar playing that defines much of the band’s sound. Inspired by his guitar heroes, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters, Chris lays down those sizzling, bluesy licks that keep you groovin’ to the music. Jenx has shared venues with acts such as The Marshall Tucker Band, The Bill Lyerly Band, and Cracker.

Bob  "Shakin" Aiken is a drummer you'll love to hear. He began his career with the Atlantic Coast Show, when only a teenager. Since, he has worked with a number of artists; among them are Lightnin' Wells, bluesman Big Boy Henry, and The Rutabaga Brothers and the Lemon Sisters. Take Shakin' Aiken's drumming, which brims with energy and creative fire, and combine it with superb bass playing and you've got a rhythm section that's hot, hot, hot!
